Visual Voices Gallery
Visual Voices Gallery is a program of the Salina Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. Anyone can make an appointment to see the work by emailing info@uusalina.org. The work is also on view Sunday mornings during the Forum discussion group at 9:15am and the UU service which begins at 10:30am. Exhibitions at the Visual Voices Gallery are determined by a committee, and change every two months. Artists interested in showing their work can download an application here. JULY-AUGUST 2010 Justin will speak to the Fellowship during the Sunday morning service on July 25. Justin Border is the featured artist during July and August showing a variety of mixed media and assemblage work. Over the past several years, Justin has entertained the challenge of creating works of art from found objects and reused materials -- newspaper, fabric, cigarette boxes, found boards, magazines, a broken clock -- combined with acrylic paint, ink, glue and paper to convey an idea. His work has been previously exhibited in California, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas and New York, as well as internationally in Denmark, Germany and Iceland. He is currently the gallery manager at the Salina Art Center. 901 Beatrice Ave. | Salina, Kansas 67401 | 785-825-6275 | info@uusalina.org |
